Graphically, Darksiders isn’t anything special but it does kind of have a comic/graphic novel feel to it.
It’s an enjoyable story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The plot to this game is very interesting as it's quite in-depth and goes into a lot of detail of each character. Through Darksiders you don’t actually get to meet any other horseman, but you come across a lot of lore explaining what has happened as you slowly find out what has happened to the world to become unbalanced and who summon him to the world. War argues with the council and gets a chance to prove his innocence and that’s where the story begins. War was being blamed for disturbing the balance. The horseman, War was summoning early and with him bring the End War, but it was too early as humans were still not ready (stupid humans). The seven seals were put in place for when humans were ready to have a fighting chance in the war it would break when they were prepared for it.
So, the human kingdom can evolve but war is inevitable. After this was made, the Council rose to keep order within the three kingdoms, so they put a treaty in place between Heaven and Hell to stop the war. At the beginning there were only two kingdoms Heaven and Hell, a third kingdom was created, the human realm. The plot follows War, one of the four horses of the apocalypse.
